Refund Policy

This policy applies to paid extensions that are available for purchase on the Threshold Editor website.

Seller: Threshold Editor, Brazil.

7 days to ask

You have 7 calendar days from purchase to request a full refund. The request goes through support, with an account of what happened — what did not work, what you expected, and in which host application and version.

This matches the 7-day withdrawal period granted by article 49 of the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code for distance purchases. Paid extensions do not offer a free trial; each extension page shows the requirements and a demo video before purchase, and support answers technical questions before you pay.

How to request: through the Discord server

Join the Threshold server and open a support ticket. Include the email used for the purchase, the extension name and the reason for the request. It is the main channel because it puts you in front of the team: a good share of refund requests are install problems that take minutes to fix, and then you keep a working extension instead of no extension.

We confirm receipt within 2 business days. Once approved, the amount is returned to the original payment method on the bank or card issuer schedule, typically 5 to 10 business days after issuance.

If you would rather not use Discord, requests are also accepted by email at threshold.editor@gmail.com, with the same information. No request made within the window is refused because of the channel you chose.

A gifted licence is not refundable

A licence you handed to someone else stops being refundable the moment it leaves your account. The reason is plain: a refund deactivates the key, and deactivating it would take the extension away from the person who accepted the gift in good faith. If you bought a licence to give away and changed your mind before handing it over, the request is ordinary — the licence is still in your account.

What happens to the licence

Once a full refund is issued, the key is deactivated. The extension stops working on activated machines at their next online verification. The same applies to a charge disputed with the bank or card issuer.

Subscriptions

Cancelling a renewal is not the same as asking for a refund: cancelling stops future charges and keeps access through the end of the period already paid for. The button to manage the subscription is in My account, on the card of the subscribed licence, and stays available after cancellation so you can still pull invoices.

After 7 days

Later requests are considered case by case, and technical fault weighs most: where a defect attributable to the extension could not be resolved, the refund is issued even outside the window. Keeping the conversation in the ticket is what keeps that history on record.

Who processes refunds

Stripe processes payments and refunds, but is not the seller and does not act as Merchant of Record. Send the request directly to Threshold; once approved, we issue the refund through Stripe to the original payment method.
